AI must not become a second wave of colonialism

Technology has never been merely a tool. It also determines who has productive power, who can make the rules, and who must live within boundaries drawn by others.

The Industrial Revolution concentrated enormous technological advantages in the hands of a few powerful nations. It also emboldened colonizers to conquer across the world. Machines, steel, ocean transport and industrialized weapons were used to force open other countries' doors. Countless nations, peoples and ordinary families paid the price through plunder, domination and even enslavement.

History has shown us time and again: When a technological revolution is controlled by only a few, those left behind lose far more than a few business opportunities. They lose the right to define the rules, choose their own path and decide their future.

Today, artificial intelligence is becoming our generation's new Industrial Revolution. Models, computing power, data, knowledge and efficiency are redefining the competitiveness of individuals, businesses and entire societies.

If the most advanced AI forever belongs only to a few giants, a few regions and a few people with access to information, technological progress may once again become a high wall.

Those inside the wall make the rules, distribute opportunities and define value. Those outside can only accept an order designed by others, use tools chosen by others and seek opportunities within the limits others permit.
